I was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM and played soccer since I was 5. Being an athlete has always been a part of who I am, so when I stopped playing soccer at a college level I was told to try CrossFit. After leaving on day one, which we only did basic movements, and waking up the next day unbelievably sore, I had to go back. I started at CrossFit Rio Rancho and when they shut their doors I began my journey to find a new home. After checking out a couple of different boxes, I found Duke City and after day one I knew I had found my new family.
I was drawn to coach not only because I love the community but now I can give back to a family that has given me so much. My favorite parts about coaching are being able to help people, especially kids and teens, through their healthy life style journey. I focus on obtaining and sharing knowledge to enable us to reach our potential. I love watching people’s faces light up when they accomplish something they didn’t think was possible.
I lead through example and recognize that as both an athlete and a coach, I am a role model. It is a responsibility I take seriously.
Over the last year I have focused on the Kids Crossfit Program, and the Nutrition Challenge for our adults. I enjoy mentoring and guiding not only our adults, but our youth. Through the nutrition challenge, I helped each of them reach goals and create better life long eating habits. While working with the kids, I have seen them grow in and out of the gym.
My goals as a Coach: To inspire people to step out of their comfort zones and to be successful in whatever journey they are taking. I also want to continue to learn and pass on as much as I can.
My goals as an Athlete: To continue to improve on my weaknesses and to have fun doing it.
